Putrid Pile is the long-running one-man brutal death metal machine masterminded by Shaun LaCanne. Since emerging in 2000 with the Bleed for Me demo, Putrid Pile has become a staple of the international death metal underground delivering slamming, guttural carnage from the U.S. to Europe, Asia, South America, and beyond.

Over two decades of destruction have yielded eight full-length albums, including underground classics like Collection of Butchery, The Pleasure in Suffering, House of Dementia, and Blood Fetish, released via United Guttural, Gorgiastic, Bizarre Leprous, and long-time label Sevared Records. Known for savage riffing, unrelenting vocals, and precision programming, LaCanne’s DIY approach has earned global respect and a rabid cult following.

Putrid Pile has played major festivals including Obscene Extreme (CZ), Deathfeast (GER), and has toured across six continents. With new music planned for 2025, Putrid Pile continues to push the boundaries of what one man can do with sheer brutality.
